About The Position

The Supported Employment Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the employment services department. This role is responsible for leading a team that assists individuals with intellectual disabilities in obtaining and maintaining meaningful community employment. A key focus of this position is business development, which involves cultivating a diverse employer base and educating local businesses on the benefits of inclusive hiring.

Requirements

  • AA or equivalent work-related experience with adults diagnosed with ID and MH disabilities. Knowledge of the business community and prior training experience is beneficial; or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years’ ID experience.
  • AA or equivalent work-related experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with adults with Autism/ Intellectual disabilities
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy of all consumer records and information.
  • Able to work well with individuals with varying emotional and cognitive challenges
  • Able to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments, ambulate throughout a patient's home, navigating stairs and other physical barriers typical to private residences.
  • Must have an acceptable PA criminal history, FBI clearance and Child Abuse clearance done prior to hire.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of 6100 ID waiver regulations.
  • Knowledge of OVR/CWDS (Commonwealth Workforce Development System) assessment and billing system.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, such as Chapter 6100 regulations, Medicaid Waiver, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and ACRE accreditation.
  • Manage program documentation, including individualized service plans (ISPs), progress notes, and monthly assessments for OVR, (Office of Vocational Rehabilitation).
  • Responsible for cultivating a network of inclusive employers dedicated to hiring individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Consult with employers to identify business needs, perform job task analyses, and negotiate reasonable accommodations.
  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with SCO’s and OVR counselors to increase enrollments.
  • Effective public relations and marketing skills required to interface with ID clients, family members, and potential employers to ensure desired outcome of competitive employment and job retention for people with disabilities.
  • Directly supervise a team of Job Coaches and Employment Specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensures weekly billing in evolve and submitting invoices to OVR/CWDS.
  • Coordinate scheduling and caseload assignments to ensure all service recipients receive adequate support during their job search and on-the-job training.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss individual progress, share job leads, and solve complex placement challenges.
  • Provide backup coverage for Supported Employment service recipients, Job Development or Job Coaching as needed.
  • Performance or other related duties as assigned by ID Director.
