About The Position

Turing is seeking U.S. employment and labor law experts to contribute to projects that fine-tune AI models. The role involves evaluating AI responses to employment-law scenarios and providing detailed annotations and written feedback to improve model performance. Experts will assess legal issue spotting, statutory accuracy, and the application of agency guidance, and will collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals. No prior AI experience is required. This is a flexible, fully remote freelance opportunity requiring 10–30 hours per week. The initial project is expected to last approximately one month, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
Active or inactive bar admission.
At least 3 years of U.S. legal practice in employment law, labor relations, or workplace compliance.
Strong reasoning skills across Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, and NLRA.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
High ethical standards.

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to U.S. employment law hypotheticals involving discrimination, wage disputes, leave, and union activity.
Use a structured legal rubric to assess issue spotting, employment statute accuracy, and application of EEOC, DOL, and NLRB guidance.
Identify gaps in AI reasoning involving burden-shifting frameworks, employee classification, non-compete enforceability, and workplace safety.
Provide detailed annotations and written feedback to refine AI models.
Collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals.
