About The Position

This is a full-time position (70 Hours Bi-Weekly). This position will support and supervise individuals who are employed in a variety of small group work settings, including, but not limited to, manufacturing, line production, and maintenance. This position requires good communication skills, written and verbal, plus flexibility to work effectively and dependably in a variety employment settings. The supervisor reflects professionalism and represents Orange Grove in the community and should maintain positive and productive relationships with the co-workers, employer staff and management and people being supported. The supervisor is expected to transport people supported to and from the work site, so reliable transportation, proof of vehicle insurance and a valid driver’s license "F" Endorsement are required upon hire.

Requirements

  • Six months or more professional and/or lived experience working with individuals who have disabilities, complex needs, or who are aging, where the work involved teaching and supporting skill development related to employment or daily living tasks (experience in an employment setting preferred but not required).
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency degree (GED) is required.
  • Reliable transportation, proof of vehicle insurance and a valid driver’s license "F" Endorsement are required upon hire.
  • Health must be adequate, both mentally and physically to allow for efficient accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Physical examination, including TB skin test or chest x-ray, drug screen is required.
  • Stooping, sitting, standing, lifting at least 50 pounds, pulling, and a moderate amount of walking.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisor/ management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in a diverse work setting that may include but not limited to maintenance, custodial, food service etc. and flexibility in work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, productive and encouraging work environment for people being supported.
  • Complete daily notes in a timely manner for each individual that works that day within 24 hours.
  • Follow Orange Grove Center and employer rules, policies and guidelines.
  • Complete all program training required as assigned, to include but not limited to TNDDA, GA and ECF funding sources, and must work within all applicable service guidelines.
  • Promote a positive, professional and cooperative attitude with both internal and community stakeholders, employer partners and staff.
  • Support and supervise up to three (3) individuals in an integrated, small group work setting.
