About The Position

The Employment Specialist is experienced in providing person-centered support under limited supervision by actively engaging members through role modeling, skills training, and relationship building to help achieve individual goals and build independence. Skilled in providing orientation, training, and supervision to individuals with disabilities while implementing employment plans designed to maximize worker progress and ensure job responsibilities are performed to specifications. Strong background in job coaching, human services, direct care, and residential support settings. Proven ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency policies, procedures, and standards. Effective written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Access to a reliable personal vehicle and a willingness to transport participants.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and email communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in job coaching, human services, direct care, residential services, or related support roles.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engaging members through role modeling, skills training, and relationship building to help achieve individual goals and build independence.
  • Providing orientation, training, and supervision to individuals with disabilities.
  • Implementing employment plans designed to maximize worker progress and ensure job responsibilities are performed to specifications.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Traveling throughout the region to residential settings, employer locations, offices, and community organizations.
  • Accurately completing program progress notes, reports, and billing documentation in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with agency standards and procedures.
