About The Position

Employment Coordinators are responsible for planning, preparing, and helping to secure jobs for adults who live with mental health impairments and are working towards their recovery utilizing the Individualized Placement and Support (IPS) evidence-based practice. BACS’ staff prides itself on doing whatever it takes. BACS has partnered with Yolo County’s Connections to CARE (Community, Assistance, Recovery, and Engagement) program to reduce recidivism by expanding access to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, trauma-informed intensive case management, peer support, and other wrap-around services. The program requires active engagement and participation to access housing and employment support. BACS C2C offers housing location services and comprehensive employment assistance to help participants stabilize income and maintain long-term housing. This is a community-based position and extensive travel throughout Yolo County is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required and must have 4 years of paid work experience in mental health/social services (1 year of customer services may be substituted).
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel, ability to type 45WPM.
  • Extensive travel throughout Sacramento County required.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree is preferred.
  • One year of experience in recruitment, marketing, and/or business to business strategy preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in employment services for adults with mental illness preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, coach and advocate for employment program members to find competitive jobs.
  • Manage a caseload of 20 program members in their employment search.
  • Support the general wellness and recovery plan for participants.
  • Market, advertise, and collaborate with employers and potential employers, Department of Rehabilitation representatives and other team members.
  • Document and maintain all data collection, reporting, and charting records. Stay within required number of regulatory billable units per month (65% productivity).
  • Participate in supervision, staff meetings, clinical consultation, on-call coverage, travel, crisis/emergency coverage, weekend coverage, and agency-wide meetings and training.

  • Starting at of $25.00 per hour, then to $26.00 per hour after satisfactory performance and achievement of all job related goals and requirements for the 90 day introductory period.
