Employment Case Manager
About The Position
Clarvida is seeking an Employment Specialist/Case Manager to work with Medicaid clients aged 16 and older who experience substance use disorders, or behavioral/mental health diagnoses, that hinder their ability to find employment. The role involves assessing client strengths and interests to aid in finding employment, and working with clients on resume building, interview skills, and essential employment skills such as relationship development and managing mental health to maintain their positions successfully. This position serves as an advocate, case manager, and skills coach, aiming to make a significant impact on clients' lives.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) and two (2) years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, Social Services or related field; OR Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) Certification issued by the Employment Support Professional Certification Council (ESPCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience; OR Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Certification issued by the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Council (CRCC) and one (1) year of relevant/demonstrated experience
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance
Responsibilities
- Assess client strengths and interests to aid in the goal of finding employment.
- Work with clients on resume building, interview skills, and employment skills.
- Assist clients in managing anxiety, depression, anger, etc. to maintain their position successfully.
- Act as an advocate, case manager, and skills coach for clients.
