About The Position

Chiesa, Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) is seeking an associate attorney to join its Employment Practice Group. The role involves defending employers in employment litigation and advising employers on employment-related matters. The position is hybrid and based at the Firm’s New Jersey office. The anticipated initial annual salary range is $180,000–$215,000; the actual base salary may vary based on factors including qualifications, relevant experience, education, licenses or certifications, and location. The total compensation and benefits package may include productivity and discretionary bonuses, insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, and a 401(k) plan. Requirements

At least 4 years of experience.
Experience litigating employment matters, including discrimination, retaliation, restrictive covenants, and wage-and-hour litigation in New Jersey and New York courts and before government agencies.
Experience advising employers on employment-related issues.
Working knowledge of federal, New Jersey, New York State, and New York City employment laws.
Excellent legal research, drafting, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and self-starting.

Responsibilities

Defend discrimination, retaliation, restrictive covenant, and wage-and-hour matters in New Jersey and New York state and federal courts and before government agencies.
Advise and counsel employers on wage-and-hour issues, risk mitigation, performance management, workplace accommodations, leave laws, and reductions in force.
Draft employment agreements, employee handbooks, and related policies.
