About The Position
We are seeking a high-performing Employment Attorney to join our growing Omaha office. Requirements
- 3–5 years of employment law experience (management-side preferred)
- Experience handling both litigation and counseling matters
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (Title VII, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
- Experience with EEOC or similar agency proceedings
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a high-performing team
- Licensed and in good standing in Nebraska (or ability to waive in promptly)
Responsibilities
- Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters, including: Wrongful termination, Discrimination & harassment claims, Retaliation and wage & hour disputes
- Manage cases from initial pleadings through resolution, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and hearings
- Advise corporate clients on federal, state, and local employment laws
- Draft and review: Employee handbooks, Workplace policies, Employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants
- Provide proactive risk mitigation strategies to minimize litigation exposure
- Represent clients in proceedings before agencies such as: EEOC, Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission
- Respond to charges, position statements, and investigations
- Advise leadership and internal stakeholders on complex employment matters
- Support internal HR-related initiatives and compliance efforts
- Play a key role in building and expanding the firm's employment law practice
- Collaborate directly with partners on business development and client strategy
- Contribute to thought leadership, client alerts, and industry visibility
