About The Position

Treasury Departmental Offices is currently seeking an experienced personnel law attorney interested in temporarily assisting with employment-related litigation and other HR matters. Departmental Offices is the Department of the Treasury's headquarters organization, with approximately 3000 employees.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
  • Must complete a background investigation.
  • Selective Service Registration is required, as applicable.
  • J.D. Degree (or equivalent).
  • Active member in good standing of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction).

Responsibilities

  • Represent Departmental Offices in matters before the EEOC, MSPB, and other administrative fora.
  • Assist the Department of Justice in defending employment-related federal litigation involving Treasury.
  • Advise Departmental Offices managers on personnel matters.
  • Assist with the formulation of Department-wide HR guidance.
