About The Position

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Employment Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 50 firm in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in handling sophisticated employment litigation, counseling, and workplace matters for major corporate clients.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of labor and employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Experience representing employers in complex employment disputes
  • Experience with matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, and other workplace disputes
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions and managing sophisticated discovery
  • Experience counseling employers regarding workplace policies, employee relations, terminations, investigations, and employment compliance
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with internal workplace investigations is a plus

  • Conducting internal workplace investigations.
