About The Position

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 100 firm in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate interested in a sophisticated management-side employment litigation practice, representing employers in complex workplace disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.

Requirements

  • 2–6 years of employment litigation or labor and employment experience
  • Experience representing employers in employment-related disputes
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling matters involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants, and other workplace disputes
  • Experience litigating matters in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies
  • Strong experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents
  • Experience taking and defending depositions and working with fact and expert witnesses
  • Experience handling EEOC and other administrative agency matters
  • Experience with hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation

Responsibilities

  • Representing employers in complex workplace disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies
  • Handling matters involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants, and other workplace disputes
  • Drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Working with fact and expert witnesses
  • Handling EEOC and other administrative agency matters
  • Handling hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
  • Independently managing significant portions of matters while collaborating with partners and clients
  • Direct client interaction and involvement in litigation strategy
  • Collaboration with a broader labor and employment practice, including counseling and workplace matters
