About The Position

At Fello, the Employment Advisor champions the rights of people with disabilities by providing job coaching and retention services to an assigned group. This role involves working with an interdisciplinary team to deliver wraparound supports, helping people with disabilities retain employment and improve work skills. Key activities include conducting job development and job search activities tailored to individual interests and strengths, providing individualized follow-along supports, and facilitating both virtual and in-person job coaching. The Employment Advisor may also provide transportation to and from work and must meet the qualifications of a Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Requirements

Self-motivated, creative, and innovative team player.
Demonstrated ability to provide support in a respectful manner that meets the various needs of persons served.
Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with persons served, their families, coworkers, employers, and other stakeholders.
Basic computer skills and proven ability to use MS Word, Outlook, and other technology tools used to support people with disabilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience working with people with disabilities.
A valid Maryland Driver's License with no significant traffic violations.
Ability to complete all required Fello and DDA trainings.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor's degree.
Experience working in workforce development programs.
