About The Position

Under general direction, within Saint Louis University’s Career Services, this role provides employer outreach management of existing and new employers; coordinates events for specialized student populations or industries; manages new employers with database orientation and recruitment practices at the University; and compiles recruitment statistical reports.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of employer recruitment practices
  • Knowledge of human resources practices
  • Knowledge of student development theory and career development
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising programs
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with CRM Databases
  • Interpersonal/human relations skills
  • Counseling/organizational skills
  • Consultation skills
  • Needs analysis skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to develop and give presentations
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute events
  • Ability to relate effectively to students
  • Ability to learn new computer systems
  • Bachelor’s degree required, supplemented with two (2) years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages relationships with existing employers to increase their recruitment at the University
  • Approves all job postings and new employers in job search database
  • Researches markets for additional employer recruitment
  • Coordinates events for specialized populations or industries
  • Compile recruitment statistical reports
  • Researches recruitment trends and best practices for employer relations.
  • Supports all employer relations initiatives including the coordination an marketing of on-campus recruiting activities
  • Provides presentations to employers, student groups and classes on University information and career development issues
  • Potentially teach one-credit career courses
  • Provides outreach to faculty, staff, and employers to inform of career trends, relevant career and job search information; markets services to all stakeholders.
  • Participates in University and division-wide events; attends employer meetings.
  • Monitors activity; runs reports and statistics on job search database.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
