We're looking for an Employee Safety Program Specialist to lead and strengthen our workplace safety programs across all Life Link III locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Biology, Industrial Hygiene, Medical Technology, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry as an employee safety, emergency management, industrial hygiene, public health, or related departments; experience may be waived if a Master’s degree has been completed in topics listed
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable state safety laws
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and training delivery skills
  • Ability to influence and build a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication within the organization and provide recommendations on safety and risk management performance
  • Ability to apply a systems thinking holistic approach to safety incidents and investigations
  • Ability to leverage data to drive efficient and effective safety-informed decisions
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite
  • Ability to travel between Life Link III locations
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in fields similar to those listed in minimum requirements
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification or training
  • Experience in Part 135 or 121 Aviation Operations with Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and writing comprehensive regulatory reports

Responsibilities

  • Lead organization-wide employee safety initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Conduct workplace safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and near misses using root cause analysis to identify meaningful improvements.
  • Develop and deliver engaging employee safety education and training programs.
  • Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and prepare regulatory reports.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response readiness.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen a proactive, organization-wide culture of safety.
  • Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) programs and workplace hazard assessments.
  • Recruit, mentor, and support Base Safety Representatives throughout the organization.
  • Monitor safety metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned to support Life Link III's mission, operational excellence, and commitment to employee and patient safety.
