About The Position

The Employee Relations Specialist plays a critical role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by advising managers and employees on employee relations matters, workplace policies, and organizational procedures. This position supports the resolution of workplace concerns through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee coaching while ensuring compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and best practices. Responsibilities include investigating workplace issues, facilitating communication between employees and leadership, supporting performance management and disciplinary processes, and partnering with Human Resources and legal teams on complex employee relations matters. The Employee Relations Specialist also contributes to employee engagement and retention initiatives, helping to create a fair, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field required.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace issue management.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience advising managers and employees on employment policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience conducting workplace investigations, handling employee complaints, and resolving grievances.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience supporting employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience collaborating with Human Resources and Legal teams on complex employee relations matters.

Responsibilities

  • Advise management and employees on employee relations policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and employee relations issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Facilitate communication between employees and leadership to promote collaboration, understanding, and positive working relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and workplace standards.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support for performance management and disciplinary processes.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Legal teams to address complex workplace matters.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to investigations, employee concerns, and corrective actions.
  • Assist leaders with conflict resolution, coaching, and employee performance discussions.
  • Promote a fair, respectful, and productive work environment across the organization.
