As an Employee Relations Specialist, you'll partner closely with HR leadership and organizational leaders to foster a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace. You'll provide expert guidance on employee relations, leadership development, and HR initiatives while helping strengthen organizational culture and the overall employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 5+ years of Human Resources experience, including experience supporting employee relations and leadership.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, federal and state employment laws, HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality, and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Proven ability to analyze information, prepare reports, manage multiple priorities, solve complex workplace issues, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to become proficient within six months in UKG, HealthStream, Leadership Versatility Index (LVI), Hireology, Meditech, and other required organizational software while maintaining a professional, collaborative presence.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by coaching on employee relations matters, conducting workplace investigations, managing corrective action processes, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Develop and support HR programs, policies, training, and leadership development initiatives, including facilitating Leadership Versatility Index (LVI) 360-degree assessments and promoting employee engagement through stay and exit interviews.
  • Research employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development trends to recommend improvements that enhance employee experience, workplace culture, and HR processes.
  • Partner with leaders, Compliance, and legal counsel as needed to resolve complex workplace concerns, respond to unemployment claims, and ensure fair, consistent resolution of employee issues.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations by maintaining student placement programs, assisting with special projects, reporting, policy administration, employee records, and serving as a collaborative member of the Human Resources team.
