About The Position

The Employee Relations Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, supporting employees and managers with workplace concerns, investigations, policy interpretation, corrective action, and employee engagement initiatives. This role partners closely with HR leadership to promote a positive work environment while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting workplace investigations required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • 2–4 years of Human Resources, Employee Relations, HR Generalist, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations principles and employment law.
  • Excellent investigative and interviewing skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations questions and concerns.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding workplace expectations, policies, and employment practices.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns through coaching, mediation, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Support employee engagement and promote positive employee relations throughout the organization.
  • Conduct intake interviews related to employee complaints, policy violations, workplace conflicts, and misconduct concerns.
  • Assist with investigations including gathering statements, interviewing witnesses, reviewing documentation, and preparing summaries.
  • Ensure investigations are handled promptly, objectively, and consistently.
  • Maintain accurate and organized investigation files.
  • Support managers with coaching, performance counseling, and corrective action.
  • Draft and review disciplinary documentation and performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies across departments.
  • Monitor trends and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Interpret and communicate company policies and handbook provisions.
  • Assist with policy development and revisions.
  • Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Partner with HR leadership to identify and reduce employee relations risk.
  • Conduct stay interviews and support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with exit interviews and turnover analysis.
  • Track absenteeism and employee relations trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve retention and employee experience.
  • Maintain employee relations records and case documentation.
  • Prepare reports related to investigations, corrective action, turnover, and employee concerns.
  • Track cases from initiation through resolution.
  • Ensure documentation meets company and legal standards.
  • Assist with manager and employee training on workplace policies, harassment prevention, conflict resolution, and employee relations best practices.
  • Support new manager onboarding related to employee relations responsibilities.
  • Develop educational resources and communications.
  • Participate in HR projects and company initiatives.
  • Support organizational culture and employee engagement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
