About The Position

This internship is with the Labour Relations team at Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC), a global leader in aerospace innovation headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec. The team's mandate is global, focusing on supporting and advising the employer and its representatives on labour relations matters in Quebec, Canada, and internationally. The intern will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic team and gain valuable knowledge. The internship runs from July to December 2026 and is based at the Longueuil facility, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday, exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired, if applicable.
  • Pursuing a degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings, and technical terms, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with international colleagues, customers, or suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and organization of the internal reference database for interpretation, precedents, or application of the law or the current Collective Agreement, used by local and international Human Resources Business Partners.
  • Assist Labour Relations managers in various disciplinary processes following investigations by Human Resources Business Partners.
  • Participate in meetings with Labour Relations managers and/or Human Resources Business Partners and/or other department managers on various labour relations topics.
  • Gather and analyze data relating to labour relations files, primarily by analyzing the law and the current Collective Agreement.
  • Conduct research on points of law and analyze jurisprudence in various labour relations files.
  • Attend representations in front of different legal bodies and assist in the preparation of files if necessary.
  • Prepare presentations and participate in the development of content for monthly labour relations alignment meetings with HR teams.
  • Participate in the implementation of a disciplinary measures register.
  • Update and structure the Labour Relations' SharePoint site.
  • Analyze and update company policies.
  • Participate in the content of HR-IR training and assist with logistics if necessary.
