About The Position

Stamford Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Employee Health Center. This role addresses the health needs, medical surveillance, episodic illnesses, and work-related injuries of Stamford Health System employees. The RN works clinically with the physician assistant, office assistant, supervising physician, departmental managers, clinical departments, staff physicians, and Human Resources personnel. The role supports Stamford Health’s person-centered care philosophy by fostering a respectful, collaborative environment that honors the needs, values, and preferences of employees and colleagues.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Valid Registered Nurse license in Connecticut.
BLS certification required.
3–5 years of recent experience in Occupational Health.

Nice To Haves

BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial patient interviews.
Measure vital signs and prepare patients for physical examinations and workers’ compensation evaluations.
Provide treatment for minor episodic illnesses.
Provide patient education and counseling.
Remove sutures, check wounds, and change dressings.
Collect cultures.
Administer injections and vaccinations.
Collect urine drug tests using chain-of-custody procedures.
Perform phlebotomy.
Conduct and interpret PPD testing.
Provide special services such as ergonomic assessments and other services as directed by the physician assistant.
Perform mask fit testing.
