About The Position

Pullman Regional is seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Health RN to join their small rural hospital team. The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care to hospital employees, focusing on occupational health, safety, and injury prevention.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Washington.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational health, employee health, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health laws, regulations, and guidelines (OSHA, NIOSH, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or similar.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-employment physicals, health screenings, and vaccinations.
  • Provide medical surveillance and monitoring for employees exposed to hazardous materials.
  • Manage work-related injuries and illnesses, including case management and return-to-work programs.
  • Develop and implement employee health programs.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and departments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for workplace modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including OSHA logs and workers' compensation claims.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to employees and management on occupational health matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, guidelines, and best practices in occupational health.
