Applicants must be within driving distance to our Alpharetta, GA office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to the office a minimum of three days per week. A day in the life. As an Employee Health & Benefits Regional Compliance Specialist, you will: Maintain working knowledge of health and welfare compliance requirements, including HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, MHPAEA, transparency requirements, and relevant federal and state regulations. Conduct compliance reviews for clients in coordination with account teams, identifying gaps, risks, and recommended next steps. Support account teams in interpreting and completing the national compliance checklist, offering clarification, guidance, and follow-up recommendations. Assist with client and internal education by helping translate evolving regulatory requirements into practical talking points, checklists, and supporting materials. Provide guidance on compliance questions raised by producers, account managers, and other internal stakeholders, escalating complex issues to the Regional Director or National Attorney Team, as needed. Collaborate with regional and national compliance partners to ensure consistent use of approved tools, workflows, and resources. Help prepare and deliver compliance updates, training sessions, and client-facing explanations of new requirements. Monitor recurring compliance deadlines and assist the Regional Director in drafting reminder communications to account teams. Participate in regional and national meetings to stay aligned with evolving standards, regulatory changes, and best practices. Support special compliance initiatives, audits, or client education programming as directed by the Regional Director. Deliver quarterly Compliance Dashboard and Compliance Checklist training sessions to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of experience in Employee Health & Benefits or a related compliance field
  • Experience interpreting ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other health and welfare requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret regulatory guidance and explain requirements clearly
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex rules into practical guidance
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new systems and tools
  • Life & Health Agents license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (e.g., CRCMP) preferred but not required
