About The Position

Monitors and promotes the health and well-being of employees through various programs and initiatives. Assists in monitoring the health of employees by coordinating appointments and organizing medical records. Maintains confidentiality of employee health information and complies with all relevant privacy laws and regulations. Collects, documents, and reports vital signs. May complete screening questions and documentation or minor specimen testing as assigned. Ensures environmental standards are met and all unit and patient areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained. Collaborates with management to develop and implement health and wellness programs for employees. Coordinates department communications and the processes related to administrative and environmental activities on the unit. Completes continuing education and participates in offered educational opportunities. May act as a preceptor and train other staff.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent GED, required.
  • Successful completion of an approved medical terminology course or demonstration of equivalent competence, required.
  • Computer skills required. Ability to navigate most current technology systems.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Possess effective interpersonal, verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Current CPR certification (BLS-Health Care Provider), preferred.
  • Previous health care experience in medical office or clinic setting, preferred.
