About The Position

The King County Employee Giving Program (EGP) is seeking skilled administrative professionals to serve as Employee Giving Campaign Assistants. These are short-term, temporary, non-benefit eligible positions that will provide administrative and technical support to the EGP during the 2026 Annual Giving Drive. The role involves assisting the EGP team in providing excellent customer service to over 18,000 employees and participating non-profit organizations. The EGP aims to deliver an innovative and effective comprehensive giving program that empowers and engages employees to enrich communities and provide opportunities for all people to thrive. The program values excellence, mutual support, and having fun. This recruitment aims to fill up to four temporary positions.

Requirements

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with diverse individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to thrive independently, be self-motivated, and take initiative.
  • Excellent judgment and a high level of professionalism in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to organize and manage time while focusing on time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience navigating presentations and virtual meetings via Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster creativity and innovative problem-solving.
  • Ability to move and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • A valid Washington State Driver's license to operate a Non-Revenue County Vehicle or the ability to travel to remote King County worksites in a timely manner.
  • Must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other campaign staff to execute Annual Giving Drive tasks.
  • Directly support and coach Ambassadors on all matters related to the Employee Giving Program and the Annual Giving Drive.
  • Collaborate to understand distinct worksite needs and help Ambassadors reach their goals for the Employee Giving Program.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and nonprofit organizations, via the phone, in-person, email, and Teams.
  • Maintain the integrity of department data and employee information in a confidential manner.
  • Assist EGP staff in coordinating meetings, trainings, workshops, events, and other speaking opportunities.
  • Represent the program through presentations and interpersonal communications at worksites to cultivate awareness and relationships and to promote positive interactions with program opportunities.
  • Draft and compose documents, including standard work and communications; and create, edit, compile, and track data using spreadsheets and visual measurement.
  • Travel to remote King County worksites by car to distribute program materials, facilitate connections, and conduct outreach, as needed and appropriate.
  • Load and unload program materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Assist with drafting, editing, and sharing electronic communications in a variety of channels, including social media, blog, and email.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
