About The Position

The Cook 1 is responsible for preparing high-quality food items in accordance with established recipes, production standards, and presentation guidelines. This role supports the culinary team by ensuring all mise en place is completed, food safety standards are maintained, and guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Requirements

• Experience in a professional kitchen environment
• Bulk cooking experience needed
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and health code requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards.
• Complete mise en place and set-up station for lunch and/or dinner service.
• Operates, upholds and properly cleans kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up.
• Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.
• Return all food items not used to designated storage areas.
