About The Position

The Employee Benefits Proposal Specialist manages the RFP (proposal) process for new business as well as existing/growing business through a blend of relationship management, customer service, and analytical skills. This role involves collaborating with internal and external customers (Sales Representatives, Brokers, Underwriters, and Employers) to provide the best possible outcome for all parties involved. The specialist will demonstrate core company values and brand in all interactions, including professional negotiation, responsive communication, daily check-ins, and scheduled meetings. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to showcase applicable skills and experiences within a growing team of insurance industry experts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Group Employee Benefits Products experience.
  • Underwriting guidelines knowledge.
  • Salesforce CRM experience is preferred.
  • Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the office’s assigned territory will be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Salesforce CRM is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the RFP (proposal) process for new business as well as existing/growing business.
  • Evaluate RFP risks for amendments & new groups.
  • Negotiate pricing, rate competitiveness, and product enhancements.
  • Analyze all RFP documents for underwriting feasibility, experience evaluation, and proposal accuracy.
  • Administer re-quotes and corrections.
  • Manage Salesforce data input, stage updates, document uploads, reports, probability, and pipeline.
