About The Position

Owns the technical configuration, data integrity, and connectivity of the Employee Benefits CRM and BenefitPoint, our system of record. Leads how both platforms are built, integrated, and kept healthy, and defines what they can and cannot do. Serves as the technical authority on these platforms, translating business needs into platform capability while product priorities are set by the EB product owner and technology lead.

Requirements

Deep hands-on Salesforce experience: objects, flows, validation rules, permission sets, reports, and data loads.
Comfort with SQL and relational data structures.
Working knowledge of API integrations.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of deep, hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including having owned a business platform end to end rather than simply using one.
At least one system migration or integration led personally, start to finish.
Salesforce Administrator certification (or equivalent) preferred; Salesforce Platform App Builder certification is a plus.
Must be able to obtain additional certifications as outlined in the organization's professional development plan.

Nice To Haves

BenefitPoint or comparable benefits administration or agency management platform experience is a plus but not required — it is learned on the job.
Insurance industry background is not required.

Responsibilities

Owns the CRM and BenefitPoint technically, including configuration, data model, automation, permissions, reports, and releases, and maintains the change log behind all of it.
Raises the technical bar around the platforms: sandboxes, testing before release, credentials tracked, and documentation that survives staff turnover.
Ensures application environments meet reliability and access-control expectations, and stays ahead of the platforms' operational health.
Builds and maintains the connections between the CRM, BenefitPoint, and the rest of the technology stack so data moves once and staff stop re-keying it.
Owns the data across both systems: migrations, cleanup, quality rules, and the authoritative answer to which system holds what.
Runs data reconciliation between systems, identifying and correcting discrepancies before they reach end users.
Leads the technical build-out of the CRM for Employee Benefits, with a real say in how it is configured and clear judgment about where Salesforce's native capability ends.
Serves as the technical answer to “can the platform do this?” and documents in writing when it cannot, so the team builds only what it has to.
Supports the people who work in these systems day to day, resolving small issues quickly.
Identifies repeat problems and turns them into permanent fixes rather than recurring tickets.
Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and organizational education goals as outlined in the organization’s education program.
Maintains professional growth through ongoing learning, certification, and awareness of platform and industry trends.
