About The Position

Good Samaritan is seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Employee Benefits Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for administering and managing a variety of employee benefits programs, serving as a key resource for employees regarding their benefits, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of benefit-related information. The position involves working with benefit providers, utilizing HR systems like Oracle, and coordinating various specialized benefit programs and events.

Requirements

  • Experience administering and managing employee benefits programs.
  • Familiarity with health insurance, flexible & health spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Experience working with benefit plan providers and vendors.
  • Ability to serve as a resource to employees for benefits-related questions.
  • Proficiency in assisting employees with self-enrollment in benefit programs.
  • Experience maintaining HR systems, specifically the Benefits Administration module of Oracle.
  • Knowledge of ACA, COBRA, Service Awards, Arrearages, Tuition Reimbursement, and Leave Processing.
  • Experience coordinating Benefits Fairs and Open Enrollment periods.
  • Ability to prepare and coordinate retirement gifts and receptions.
  • Skills in developing HR-related forms, posters, and materials.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle for benefits administration.
  • Experience coordinating specialized benefit programs like ACA, COBRA, Tuition Reimbursement, and various types of leave.
  • Experience in planning and executing Benefits Fairs and Open Enrollment.
  • Experience coordinating employee recognition programs (retirement gifts, service awards).

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, flexible & health spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings.
  • Coordinate with benefit plan providers and vendors to schedule site visits and ensure correct employee data enrollment.
  • Serve as a resource to employees for questions regarding benefits, coverage, and eligibility, providing accurate information on plan coverages, options, deductibles, employer contributions, employee premiums, and enrollment deadlines.
  • Assist employees with self-enrollment in benefit program offerings using Oracle, guiding them through the process and ensuring timely completion of steps and required documents.
  • Maintain the Benefits Administration module of Oracle, processing life events, benefit changes, and terminations promptly, and assisting with troubleshooting errors within Oracle Benefits Administration.
  • Coordinate specialized benefit programs and functions including ACA, COBRA, Service Awards, Arrearages, Tuition Reimbursement, and Leave Processing (leave of absence, family medical leave, voluntary time off, and benefit continuation during leaves).
  • Plan and coordinate Benefits Fairs and Benefit Open Enrollment periods annually.
  • Assist with other special benefits programs designed for Good Samaritan employees.
  • Prepare and coordinate Retirement gifts and receptions for employees with 20+ years of service.
  • Coordinate certificates of appreciation for employees leaving after 10+ years of service.
  • Assist with developing forms, posters, and materials to promote the HR Department organizationally.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by Human Resources leadership.
