About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive. Requirements

  • Producers License (in state of residence) for Fire/Casualty or Life/Health as appropriate
  • Proven track record for accomplishing specific tasks
  • Ability to travel to attend client and internal meetings, as needed

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA in business, management, insurance or related field
  • Proven success in Account Executive or client-facing position
  • CPCU, CEBS, ARM or other professional designation

Responsibilities

  • Understand the client industry niche(s) served, recognize typical business problems, and how the service platform provides solutions.
  • Maintain proactive awareness of industry changes and their impact on clients.
  • Represent MMA Midwest in client and insurance industry through writing, speaking, and networking.
  • Advocate for changes and additions to the service platform to increase client value.
  • Relate well to diverse individuals, build rapport, and establish constructive relationships.
  • Negotiate skillfully in tough situations, win concessions without damaging relationships, and gain trust quickly.
  • Use the MMA Midwest sales process to analyze client exposures and opportunities, and create a compelling case for selection.
  • Create presentations demonstrating the company’s approach, culture, expertise, and service platform.
  • Understand each client’s decision process, business goals, and how performance meets expectations.
  • Recognize and act to retain clients at risk of loss.
  • Close new business and renewals through a methodical approach.
  • Uncover opportunities to add new product and coverage lines and to cross-sell clients.
  • Understand business drivers, metrics, issues, and industry issues impacting individual clients.
  • Analyze coverage, program financials, claims, and loss rates to recommend improvements and create a service plan.
  • Engage other MMA Midwest teams for specialized analysis and service.
  • Oversee the execution of client plans and services, ensuring commitments are tracked and reported.
  • Understand the insurance marketplace, carrier appetites, programs, and services.
  • Monitor client satisfaction through personal relationships and engagement.
  • Create a climate where people want to do their best, motivate team members, invite input, and share ownership.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the client service team.
  • Support processes, procedures, and agency best practices.
  • Mentor client service team members and new producers.
  • Recruit potential employee candidates to MMA Midwest.
  • Leverage technology, tools, resources, and information to maximize efficiency.
  • Conduct business planning to set goals for results and activities.
