Brown & Brown is seeking Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our growing team in Garden City, NY! The Employee benefits Account Executive will retain and grow business by servicing and managing client and prospective client relationships through collaboration with team members to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve client satisfaction, and drive new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Valid Health, Accident and Life Insurance Producer license in good standing.
  • Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.
  • Proficient knowledge in use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.).
  • 10+ years progressive experience in account management or sales.
  • College Degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and retain the existing book of business while pursuing new growth opportunities through networking, referrals, cross-selling, and strategic business planning.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Plan, direct, and manage the renewal process for health and life coverages, recommending appropriate insurance solutions, alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost‑reduction opportunities.
  • Ensure all renewal, sales, and insurance operations meet compliance requirements and are accurately documented in the agency management system.
  • Educate clients through routine visits and ongoing communication regarding benefits legislation, regulatory requirements, compliance matters, and new product offerings.
  • Identify, develop, and oversee customized service plans for each client to ensure exceptional customer service and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Manage and resolve client issues, including escalated employee enrollment and claims concerns.
  • Prepare and deliver stewardship reports, proposals, presentations, and new business strategies aligned with customer needs and expectations.
  • Support sales initiatives through prospect meetings, new business strategies, onboarding, and implementation of new clients, while promoting performance standards and agency goals.
  • Contribute to team success by supporting training initiatives, participating in meetings and professional development, promoting teamwork, adhering to agency policies, and performing additional duties as needed.
