About The Position

Generation is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to helping adults achieve economic mobility through employment. They partner with governments, employers, and other stakeholders to train and place adult learners into careers that might otherwise be inaccessible. Since its launch in 2015, Generation has served over 150,000 graduates and partnered with 23,000 employers across 50 professions and 17 countries. The organization focuses on supporting unemployed or underemployed individuals, with a high success rate in job placement and significant increases in graduate earnings. Generation graduates typically have a secondary school background, with a significant portion being female, having dependents, and identifying with underrepresented communities. This specific role is for an Employability Coach to support learners in the Generation’s JobSprint Program. This program is designed to provide last-mile support to jobseekers to help them secure employment. The training is free, part-time, online, and mostly asynchronous, supplemented by personalized career coaching from both human coaches and AI tools. The Employability Coach will report to the Program Manager and will be instrumental in preparing learners for their job search, facilitating their placement with Generation’s employer partners, running group and one-on-one coaching sessions, utilizing online learning and coaching software, and collaborating with the Employer Engagement Manager for placement support.
