About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is hiring an EMI/C Systems Engineer in Redondo Beach, California. The position may be filled at Level 3 (Principal Systems Engineer) or Level 4 (Sr. Principal Systems Engineer). The engineer is responsible for the complete electromagnetic interference and compatibility (EMI/C) compliance process, from component through system level, including testing and design, and technical, cost, and schedule performance. The role involves reviewing and tailoring EMI/C test requirements; developing models and mitigations for interference coupling, shielding, and circuit/cable isolation; conducting and troubleshooting EMI/EMC tests; developing specialized test apparatus and methods; preparing work instructions; and analyzing test data and producing qualification procedures and reports. The engineer may travel to other company locations to support testing and troubleshooting, attend design reviews, and work off-shift hours when necessary. The role requires an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at application and before starting, and willingness and ability to obtain and maintain SCI access within a reasonable period. Continued employment is contingent on maintaining required clearance and program access, as well as associated business or customer funding. Relocation assistance may be available. Travel is listed as 10% of the time.
