About The Position

Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a midlevel associate to join its rapidly growing Emerging Companies & Venture Capital group in the New York office. This practice focuses on representing innovative companies and their founders throughout their lifecycle (business formation, financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions), as well as the funds that invest in them. Clients range from newly-formed startups to multi-billion dollar technology market leaders. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collegial office environment while working closely with experienced practitioners on sophisticated matters at a national level.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience, preferably at a comparable law firm
- Stellar academic credentials and references
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Math and Excel skills
- NY bar admission required
Responsibilities
- Represent innovative companies and their founders throughout their lifecycle (business formation, financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions)
- Represent funds that invest in innovative companies
- Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships
