About The Position

MedVet is a fast-growing emergency and specialty veterinary provider with practices nationwide, helping patients receive advanced medical treatments and innovations. The Emergency Veterinary Technician Assistant joins the clinical team and supports patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. Patients require ongoing supervision to ensure treatment plans are carried out. The role is suited to someone who can recognize signs of patient distress and respond appropriately, and who enjoys assisting with recovery, client follow-up, and client education.

The proposed schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The hiring range is $15.00–$16.50 per hour, based on experience. Employment is contingent on passing a drug screen and background check.

• Ability to multitask, self-motivate, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work successfully both as a team member and autonomously.
• Sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to restrain patients effectively.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior veterinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive quality care.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Provide oversight and care for stable patients.
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint.
• Restock supplies for clinical teams.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage departmental laundry needs.
• Assist with patient recovery and client follow-up and education.
