About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative, driven Emergency Veterinary Technician Assistant to join its clinical team. The position supports emergency patient care and helps deliver a positive experience for clients, patients, and teammates while embodying the company’s values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion. The schedule is Sunday through Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday, noon to 7 a.m. The initial hiring range is $16.00 to $21.50 per hour, based on skillset and experience. Shift differentials are offered for evening, overnight, and weekend hours.

Requirements

• Prior veterinary experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette.
• Ability to multitask, self-motivate, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work successfully as a team member and autonomously.
• Sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective patient-restraint skills.
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive quality care.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Oversee and care for stable patients.
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint.
• Restock supplies for clinical teams.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage departmental laundry needs.
