About The Position
Horizon Veterinary Specialists is seeking a knowledgeable and eager Emergency Veterinarian or Critical Care Veterinarian to join their Emergency & Critical Care Team. This role involves providing emergency surgical services and other aspects of veterinary medicine to small animal patients. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, confidence, be detail-oriented, diligent, and possess excellent communication skills, approaching each patient and client with kindness and understanding. The emergency department operates 24/7 and supports walk-in emergencies as well as referrals. The team has access to internal medicine services six days a week for supportive services and consultation. Daily rounds and doctor consultations are part of the collaborative environment.
Requirements
- DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in California.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to client education.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-doctor environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in emergency or critical care preferred but not required.
