About The Position

Join us as an Emergency Veterinarian at VCA Aurora Animal Hospital and you’ll quickly discover that you’ll be well supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities, and a talented team. You’ll be empowered to do your best work with a team you can count on. At VCA, the future of veterinary medicine is in our hands. This is a 24/7 emergency/specialty/general practice hospital with a staff of over 19 veterinarians, including specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Neurology, Emergency & Critical Care, Radiology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Anesthesia. The hospital is a 27,000 square foot building, currently undergoing a 16,000 square foot addition. It boasts a strong emergency/critical care service, a thriving internship program, an experienced management team, and is AAHA-accredited. Advanced equipment includes 1.5T MRI, 3 ultrasound units, 16 slice CT, fluoroscopy, 2 x-ray machines, various scopes, HBOT, Laser, and a Halcyon LinAc. The hospital is located one hour away from Chicago and offers access to a network of specialists within VCA.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state, or the ability to obtain.
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
