About The Position

Madison Veterinary Specialists (MVS) is seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and clinically advanced Emergency Veterinarian to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital. This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a state-of-the-art, AAHA-accredited and VECCS Level II Trauma Center alongside an exceptional team of board-certified specialists and experienced emergency clinicians. As an Emergency Veterinarian at MVS, you will: Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to small animal patients Manage a diverse caseload including trauma, acute illness, and stabilization Collaborate closely with specialty services to deliver comprehensive care Partner with Emergency Coordinators to ensure clear, consistent client communication Demonstrate strong team leadership, effectively working with and guiding all levels of the patient care team including technicians, assistants, coordinators, and specialists Contribute to a high-functioning, accountable, and team-driven culture Support, mentor, and train Interns

Requirements

  • Internship trained Veterinarian with eligibility for Wisconsin licensure
  • Confident managing high-acuity emergency and trauma cases
  • Proven ability to collaborate, lead and positively influence within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Effective communicator in fast-paced, high-stakes settings
  • Committed to continuous learning and clinical excellence
