About The Position

North Dallas VESH is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at North Dallas VESH. The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program is designed to prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. It focuses on core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian, including clinical knowledge and skills, client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration. The program utilizes a hybrid training approach with simulation-based didactic components and authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is evidence-based, identifying essential competencies and skills for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Requirements

Veterinarian passionate about working in emergency medicine.
Team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable.
Work authorization in the United States.
Commitment to a 2-year term as an ER clinician at North Dallas VESH following training.

Responsibilities

Train in emergency medicine through a 6-month mentorship program.
Transition into an ER veterinarian position at North Dallas VESH following training.
Develop clinical knowledge and skills in emergency medicine.
Improve client and team member communication.
Enhance professional skills and life/work integration.
Participate in simulation-based didactic components and authentic training experiences with live patients.
Rotate with other specialty services during the training program.
Work with a dedicated mentor on shifts.
Participate in asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds.
Attend regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors.
