About The Position
Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their growing team in Nanaimo, BC. This role is for a veterinarian passionate about emergency medicine, who enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is looking to work alongside a collaborative and supportive team. Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital is a busy small animal emergency hospital serving communities across Vancouver Island, providing high-quality emergency and surgical care for companion animals and exotic pets for over 14 years. They also support surrounding veterinary practices with after-hours emergency services. The hospital is spacious, modern, and fully equipped with advanced diagnostics and treatment capabilities, including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, advanced dental equipment, surgical suites, and a full in-house laboratory. The team is passionate about progressive medicine, collaboration, and patient care, fostering an environment where veterinarians can grow their skills through a diverse and rewarding caseload. Requirements
- Eligibility for veterinary licensure in British Columbia

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care for urgent and critical cases.
- Work closely with the ER team.
- Support clients through stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
