About The Position

Mountain Emergency Animal Center is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Emergency Veterinarian to join their state-of-the-art emergency hospital in Blue Ridge, Georgia. This role offers opportunities for both new graduates seeking mentorship and experienced veterinarians looking to practice advanced emergency medicine. The hospital is the only dedicated emergency veterinary facility within a two-hour radius and provides comprehensive services including examinations, urgent care, surgery, hospitalization, intensive care, and advanced diagnostics. Veterinarians are supported by an experienced DVM team, cutting-edge technology, and a collaborative culture. The hospital is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, Ligasure, cautery, Snyder units, and advanced anesthesia machines. The center also offers RACE-approved CE sessions and on-site sleeping quarters for overnight shifts.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Current DEA License (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Active Veterinary State License.
• USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Proficient in general medicine and surgery.
• Compassionate, team player and strong communicator.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency examinations.
