About The Position
VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is seeking to add an Emergency Veterinarian to its growing team. This is Nebraska’s only full-time, state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital, and the position is for an overnight or swing shift. The hospital has been a leader in small animal specialty medicine in Nebraska, Northern Kansas, South Dakota, and Western Iowa for the last decade. The team includes board-certified specialists in internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care, neurology, oncology, and diagnostic imaging. The Emergency Department is being rebuilt to be open 24/7/365, and there is an active internship program. All doctors enjoy teaching and collaborating to provide excellent patient care and client service. The new 17,000+ sq. ft. facility is equipped with advanced technology including ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy/arthroscopy, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, helical computed tomography, and on-site magnetic resonance imaging. The veterinarians are supported by an incomparable team of licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and client service representatives. Omaha is a progressive metropolitan area with a diverse economy and a cost of living below the national average.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Eligible for veterinary licensure in Nebraska.
- Ability to work overnight or swing shifts.
- Willingness to teach and collaborate.
- Interest in advanced veterinary medicine.
