About The Position

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown, Virginia is seeking a passionate and experienced veterinarian with a strong interest and background in emergency medicine to lead the development of their after-hours emergency care. This leadership role will involve providing essential emergency medicine to patients, working with a talented support team, and helping shape the protocols and flow of the hospital. The hospital is a state-of-the-art emergency and critical care facility that cares for small animals and some exotic pets, offering services such as laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork, and emergency surgeries. The facility is equipped with advanced imaging and diagnostic tools, digital x-ray and ultrasound, an in-house pharmacy and lab, and fully equipped surgical suites.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
• Active Veterinary State License
• USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
• Strong interest and background in emergency medicine
• Open to working nights and weekends
