Requirements
- 2+ years in vehicle upfitting, automotive electronics, car audio, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience installing emergency lighting; able to identify electrical circuits
- Able to read schematics and technical drawings
- Must be able to lift 50–60 lbs and work in/around vehicles daily
- Good hearing and color vision; able to see and work on small objects
- Detail-oriented, dependable, safety-focused, and a strong communicator
Nice To Haves
- Mobile radio installation experience (Motorola, Kenwood)
- Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, test, and remove/replace 12-volt emergency vehicle equipment, including: Consoles, weapons racks, and partitions, Light bars, sirens, strobes, and flashers, Radios, speakers, OBD cables, and in-car video systems, ALPR cameras, MDCs, antennas, and routers
- Locate, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle wiring on new and in-service vehicles
