About The Position
Reporting to the Emergency Services Nurse Manager and working under the direction of Nursing or a Patient Care Provider, the Emergency Technician performs basic emergency medical and trauma procedures and provides patient care to patients and families of all ages as directed. Work must follow physician orders, hospital policy, and the scope and standards of practice. Employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the organization's mission and core values. The role is with Providence Tarzana Medical Center and supports its patient-focused, whole-person care culture.
Requirements
- Upon hire, hold a California Emergency Medical Technician License, California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License, or California Paramedic License.
- Upon hire, hold National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Obtain a California Fire and Life Safety Card from a National Organization within 30 days of hire.
- Have 1 year of experience in acute care.
- Have 1 year of current Emergency Services experience; this may be concurrent with acute care experience.
