About The Position

The Emergency Tech I provides care to patients in the emergency department and related areas under the direction of registered nurses and physicians, following recognized techniques, standards of practice, and hospital policies and procedures. The position supports all facilities in the market as needed and may require prior experience with IV insertion, blood draws, and placing 12-lead ECGs. The role also includes performing related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) or EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Medical Technician experience.
• Graduation from an Emergency Medical Technician program.

Responsibilities

• Support all facilities in the market as needed.
• Provide patient care in accordance with RN and physician direction and recognized techniques.
• Follow standards of practice and hospital policies and procedures in the emergency department and related areas.
• Perform related duties as required.
• May perform IV insertion, blood draws, and placement of 12-lead ECGs when prior experience is required.
