Emergency Shelter Case Manager
About The Position
The Counseling and Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Department at Center for Youth provides a continuum of essential services to the most vulnerable youth in our community. These services include two crisis nurseries, an emergency shelter, permanent and transitional housing, a food and clothing pantry, street outreach, and support for minor victims of commercial sexual exploitation. Center for Youth is an organization started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH, partnering with youth to realize their full potential by creating opportunities, removing barriers, and promoting social justice. The Center ensures understanding and values differences in people of diverse cultures, ethnic origins, sexual orientation, disabilities, and beliefs.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services OR Equivalent combination of experience and education
- Knowledge of youth asset development and risk reduction theory, and youth serving systems, community resources, partnerships and collaborations
- A valid Driver's license

Responsibilities

- Maintenance of client confidentiality
- Support daily shelter activities (youth routines, supervision, meals, life skills recreations activities, etc.)
- Maintenance of facility and grounds
- Partnership with youth & family counselor on youth case coordination
