Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the local Human Service delivery system, including public benefits programs.
  • Experience working with low-income and/or homeless individuals.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License.
  • Registered and Insured Vehicle.
  • N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic database systems.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Mobility sufficient for driving to and participating in meetings at client's homes and community facilities that may not meet accessibility standards.
  • Manual dexterity necessary for working with children and adults in a challenging and active environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Overall supervision and management of the Emergency Services Programs.
  • Assessing staffing resources.
  • Ensuring the safety and security of clients and staff.
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating program staff.
  • Overseeing various program managers and coordinators.
  • Maintaining the program budget.
  • Ensuring compliance with grant requirements through periodic file audits.
  • Completing agency forms.
  • Coordinating with other providers.
  • Representing the organization at community meetings and events.
  • Collaborating with the Program Officer to seek funding opportunities.
  • Managing the department in alignment with Catholic Charities' mission, funding source guidelines, policies and procedures, and the agency's code of ethics.
