Requirements

Bachelor's Degree.
Three (3) years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of the local Human Service delivery system, including public benefits programs.
Experience working with low-income and/or homeless individuals.
Supervisory/leadership experience.
Valid N.Y.S. Driver's License.
Registered and Insured Vehicle.
N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance.
Proficiency in utilizing electronic database systems.
Strong knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Office.
Excellent customer service skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Mobility sufficient for driving to and participating in meetings at client's homes and community facilities that may not meet accessibility standards.
Manual dexterity necessary for working with children and adults in a challenging and active environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Overall supervision and management of the Emergency Services Programs.
Assessing staffing resources.
Ensuring the safety and security of clients and staff.
Recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating program staff.
Overseeing various program managers and coordinators.
Maintaining the program budget.
Ensuring compliance with grant requirements through periodic file audits.
Completing agency forms.
Coordinating with other providers.
Representing the organization at community meetings and events.
Collaborating with the Program Officer to seek funding opportunities.
Managing the department in alignment with Catholic Charities' mission, funding source guidelines, policies and procedures, and the agency's code of ethics.
