About The Position

Performs basic nursing procedures in an acute-care setting, in accordance with standards of care and within the scope of practice. Procedures may include collecting vital signs, applying thermal treatments, providing wound care, applying simple dressings and splints, and assisting nursing staff. Cleans and prepares rooms between patients and procedures, including changing bed linens and restocking room supplies. The Emergency Room Tech will also be trained to work as a unit secretary in the Emergency Room. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required.
• Violence Prevention & De-Escalation certification required within 90 days of hire.
• California EMT certification required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of one year of acute-care experience preferred.
• Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, EMT, or paramedic preferred.
• California Paramedic certification preferred.
