About The Position

The Emergency Tech assists nurses with patient care activities while taking patients’ developmental levels into consideration. The role requires strong communication, the ability to accept delegated tasks, and the knowledge to ask questions and report patient information as indicated. The Emergency Tech handles patient information appropriately and maintains confidentiality and privacy. The position complies with the safety management program to help maintain a hazard-free physical environment and reduce the risk of injury. The role is expected to understand and respond to the hospital’s mission, promote a patient- and family-oriented experience, and adapt to changing census and the needs of internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Obtain a CPR - BLS certificate within 2 weeks of hire.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Have knowledge and understanding to ask questions and report patient information as indicated.
• Understand and appropriately handle confidential patient information.
