About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The role supports patient flow and delivers critical interventions for a variety of medical conditions. The unit has 22 beds, with capacity for 8–10 additional hallway beds as needed, and typically serves 170–210 patients per day. Nursing ratios are typically 1:4 and vary with patient acuity. The electronic medical record is Cerner First Net. The nurse cares for patients with conditions including psychiatric needs, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI, and may provide conscious sedation after completing competency testing. Timely pain assessment follow-up and medication administration are important. Clinical techs typically assist with lab draws, though nurses may need to perform them when staffing is low. Travelers do not perform triage in the fast-track area. The position involves 12-hour shifts, with options ranging from morning to overnight; many travelers work variable shifts. The role requires working every other weekend, with the schedule potentially varying. Holiday responsibilities are shared through rotation with permanent staff. Floating to other locations within the region may be required.
